- Attend an Integration Training
- Participate in an interactive online training on how to integrate new rebels.
- Find a place to start integrating:
- Ask an experienced integrator for help in getting started in your group.
A good integrator is not defined by a lot of experience or knowledge but by certain qualities.
If you are looking for new integrators for your group, consider whether you see rebels with the following qualities to some extent:
- Social and Empathetic
- A good integrator can listen and inquire with genuine interest. It's also beneficial to get along with many different people, even if you don't always agree with everyone.
- Supportive and Responsible (but also able to let go)
- A good integrator is patient and non-judgmental, especially when you need to explain something multiple times. Part of the responsibility is keeping your commitments to rebels because they rely on you.
- Curious and Investigative
- As an integrator, you will receive various questions to which you may not know the answers. Curiosity helps in finding the answers together with the new rebel.
- (Somewhat) Organized/Methodical
- As an integrator, it's common to support multiple rebels simultaneously. Therefore, it's helpful to keep track of what you've discussed with each rebel and note specific concerns they may have.
- Able to Set Personal Boundaries
- New rebels may lean on you, but they remain responsible for themselves. To avoid being burdened by this responsibility, it's important to be able to maintain your own boundaries.
