The overarching purpose of the Scientist Rebellion is to mobilise scientists and academics to engage in civil disobedience to amplify the demands of XR.
- Joining big actions by XR, being visible as scientists.
- Organising our own actions, often targeted at universities.
- Conducting outreach and media work.
- Organization Circle: A core group with very active members and representatives of other circles.
- Mobilisation and Integration Circle: Responsible for onboarding new members, introduction/integration meetings, and related activities.
- Social Media Circle: Manages social media accounts.
- Wellbeing/Regeneration Circle: Organises regeneration activities and wellbeing support during actions.
- Strategy and Research Circle: Focuses on ways to be more effective.
- Arts Circle: Creates banners and other visual materials.
- University Circles: Almost every university has its own circle. Representatives of these circles come together in the University Circle. These circles primarily engage in local mobilisation work and organise actions on campus (e.g., the Cut the Ties campaign).
- Organization Circle: Bi-weekly meeting
- Mobilization and Integration Circle: Weekly meetings
- Other circles (strategy, arts, wellbeing, etc.) do not have a regular meeting-schedule.
